Cal Spreader Rig;
This is a way to present all forms of bass baits in a pattern that resemble a bait ball. (schooling bait fish)
California Rig is a multi-bait lure, the original “Alabama” style lure allows you to use 5 baits with hooks in each bait. The Cal. rig features a center line tie with five extending wires that end with 3 Double Lock snap swivels. From each snap swivel the angler can add a bait of choice. The Cal. rig is extremely light weight with 2 sizes to choose from 1/2 oz. and 1 oz. Approximately 10″ in length, made with 5 .051 Super Stainless wire arms.
You can be sure that this Cal Spreader Rig will run upright every time as rigged. But don`t let this stop you from experimenting with different lures, designs and patterns. Best used with 5″ swimbaits with 1/2 oz. swim bait heads. (Takedown Minnows not included) or Belly weighted swim bait hooks.
Sold 1 count, No swim baits included.
1/2oz or 1oz Spreader Rig
5” Fat Grub, (1 each)
1 Worth Swivel with 1 Willow blade
3 Snap Swivles
1 Skirt included.
Takedown Minnow Spreader Rig: – Same rig as described above shipped rigged with D&M Takedown Minnow Swimbaits.
Some states regulate the number of hooks you may use on the bait, so make sure to review the related guidelines. For those states, such as California, we suggest using the same rigging options, but only using (3) hooks. The entire length of the 1 oz. and 1/2 oz. rig is 10″ long and has 5 wire arms.
To legally use any Alabama type Rigs in California inland waters, the rig must be attached to one rod with one line and no more than three of the attached lures containing hooks. Those lures containing hooks may have no more than three hooks attached to each lure. The other two could have hookless teasers.
